After extensive consultation with representatives of the Law School administration, the faculty, and the Student Bar Association, we have decided to restrict access to the MacMillan Law Library permanently during evening hours. The doors will be locked at 4:00 PM each evening. This change in policy has been prompted by growing concern for the safety and security of our students, staff, and other users.
Evening access will be permitted only for the following groups:
We ask that you help us by not holding the door open for anyone whom you do not know personally.
Users of the United States Government and European Union depository collections are welcome to enter the building between opening and 4:00 PM, but they will not be admitted thereafter.
The Law Library is committed to providing equal access to its facilities and collections for all users in the Emory community. Library staff will make special arrangements to assist patrons with disabilities in retrieving and using library materials. The library encourages patrons with disabilities to contact Circulation or Reference staff to discuss their needs.
